An article in the April 2004 issue of International Water Power & Dam Construction described the World Bank’s new Water Strategy, and discussed, among other things, the reaction of the Bank to the report of the World Commission on Dams. At the request of the World Bank we are printing two parts of that Strategy - first, a summary of the strategy, and second, the part of the strategy that pertains to the Bank’s position on the report of the World Commission on Dams.
