European Project Of The Year Award

26 July 2013

Don’t miss the September issue of International Water Power & Dam Construction featuring our new European Project of the Year Award.

The Award acknowledges a hydropower and/or dam project that has demonstrated excellence in construction and is likely to make a major contribution to the region where it is located.

The September issue will feature an in-depth case study of the winning project, detailing construction methods, project components and its goal and benefits. To win the award, the project must have gone into operation between August 2012 and September 2013, and includes both new and refurbishment schemes.

A number of projects have been nominated for the accolode and the IWP&DC editorial staff - with support from editorial board members - are currently deciding on the winning project, with a number of key projects in the running.

This regional award is part of a series of awards being run by IWP&DC. Our next award - Australasian Project of the Year - is to be published in the December 2013 issue of the journal. We are currently accepting nominations for projects to considered for the award. If you would like to suggest a project please send an email to the editor at carrieannstocks@globaltrademedia.com with the name of the project and the reason why you think it deserves to be named Project of the Year. Deadline for nomination is 27 September 2013.
