Three generators from WEG weighing 285 tons each – the largest ever produced by the company – are to play a vital role in the São Roque hydroelectric power plant in Brazil.
WEG’s package for the 142MW project includes three 50.5 MVA, 13.8 kV and 180 rpm SLW 4000 hydrogenerators and the auxiliary equipment. Each unit is approximately 8m in diameter.
São Roque is located on the Canoas River in the municipality of Vargem, Santa Catarina state.
