Alstom to supply equipment and services to Arkun plant, Turkey

Under the terms of the contract – awarded by Enerjisa Power Generation Company, a joint venture of Turkish Sabanci Holding and Austria’s Verbund – alstom will engineer, supply and install three 76.6MW vertical Francis hydropower turbines, inlet valves, three generators as well as the plant’s switchyard, control system and balance of plant.

Upon completion, Arkun will be Enerjisa’s largest hydropower plant in terms of installed capacity, and will provide Turkey with 800GWh of locally produced, renewable energy, helping Turkey meet its ambitious environmental goals and to improving its energy security.
