23 June 2009

The dams are to be constructed on the Kwanza river in the Kapanda (Malanje) and Cambambe (Kwanza Norte) areas, respectively.

Details of the proposed scale of the funding for the projects, which together would have approximately 2GW of installed capacity, were not disclosed.

The President is to sign a proposed Technical-Scientific and Economic Cooperation Agreement between the countries.
