Argentina looking to new hydro

Plans for new hydropower development in Argentina totaling over 18GW are to be unveiled by the end of this year, newswires have reported. 

The country’s Energy and Mining Ministry will publish plans for 55 new projects, state news service Telam said, along with a timeline for completion of the most attractive schemes.

According to BN Americas, the projects include a number with significant installed capacities, including four greater than 1000MW.
