BHEL commissions Teesta Low Dam unit

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has successfully commissioned a 40MW unit at the 160MW Teesta Low Dam hydroelectric project Stage-IV in West Bengal, India.

The run-of-river project is located on the River Teesta in the Darjeeling district. It features four turbines, with the remaining three in the advanced stages of execution. The second is expected online shortly.
