BHEL wins turnkey hydro contract in Rwanda

Nyaborongo will have an installed capacity of 28MW (2 x 14MW) and BHEL will supply two Francis turbines and generators as well as transformers, controls, monitoring and protection equipment and switchgear.

The contract - valued at US$94M - is funded by bilateral credit from the Government of India to the Government of Rwanda.
