Cavico wins tunnel contract on Thuong Kon Tun project, Vietnam

The package is valued at US$12M in total for the works on the 1.8km long service access tunnel and road.

Phase 1 of the package involves excavation of the 7.5m high by 6.5m wide tunnel and also road construction. The contract is valued at US$7M.

Cavico said the US$5M contract for Phase 2 involves insitu concrete lining of the tunnel.

The 240MW plant is being built on the DakNghe river in Kon Tum province by Vinh Son-Song Hinh Hydropower Joint Stock Co.

The total budget for the project is approximately US$300M, said Cavico. The construction period for the entire scheme is five years.
