Cavico wins tunnelling work on Vietnam’s Huoi Quang project

The US$9.4M contract was awarded to the group’s subsidiary Cavico Transportation. Details of the tunnelling works were not immediately available.

EVN is developing the 520MW Huoi Quang project on Da river in Laj Chau province with a total investment of US$630M. The project site is 450km north west of Hanoi.

The project will have to units and is scheduled to be operational by 2012 to generate an average of 1,840GWh annually.
