The countries have signed a new pact that will see them step-up cooperation in hydro power through development work to be undertaken between the key respective organisations of each nation - China Yangtze River Three Gorges Project Development Corp and the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA), in Pakistan.
No details were immediately provided on the initial work to be undertaken by the new partners in the countries' strategic venture.
