Chinese finance agreed for Uzbekistan mini hydro

According to an Interfax news agency report, the money will be extended from a credit line opened by China’s Eximbank for Uzbekistan covering the 2004-2007 period.

The funds will be diverted to three mini hydro plants, including US$25M to build the second phase of the Tupolang hydroelectric plant in the Surkhandarya region, US$8.5M to build the Andizhan hydro plant in Andizhan region, and US$6.4M for the Akhangaran hydro plant in Tashkent region.
