HYDRO POWER DEVELOPER Energetica Corumba III has selected a consortium led by Argentina's Impsa to engineer, procure and build the US$52M, 94MW Corumba III hydro power project on the Corumba river in Goias state.

The other consortium members are Brazil's EIT and Energis. Impsa will select the company to supply electro-mechanical equipment. Brazil's Temag will carry out the engineering study.

Brazil's power regulator Aneel awarded the 35-year concession to Corumba III in June 2001.
