Driven to new heights

1 January 2002

Ingersoll-Rand's Portable Power Business has launched the new range of GenPowerSource diesel-driven generators from 16kVA to 550kVA. The new GenPowerSource range is the latest expansion of Ingersoll Rand's product portfolio aimed at customers in the plant hire and construction industries.

According to the company, one of the most important features of the GenPowerSource range is the double galvanised steel skid chassis, which allows the generators to be towed, via dragging points, to manoeuvre them into place on site or in the hire yard. In addition, the tough base allows the generators to be stacked easily, and handling is further enhanced through the provision of fork slots built into the skid base and central lifting eyes, says the company.
