22 February 2024

The Royal Government of Bhutan has assigned Druk Green Power Corporation Limited (DGPC) the responsibility of conducting the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for the Integrated Gongri Hydropower Project and Jeri Pumped Storage Project in eastern Bhutan. DGPC is seeking to engage a reputable international consulting firm to ensure the ESIA aligns with international standards and best practices, as well as the Bhutanese Guidelines for Development of Hydropower Projects 2018.

DGPC has issued a Request for Expression of Interest (EOI) to invite prospective consultancy firms to provide their services for the ESIA. The selected firm will be expected to deliver a bankable ESIA in accordance with international standards and the specific guidelines outlined by the Bhutanese government.

Interested consultancy firms are required to demonstrate their qualifications and relevant experience to perform the services. The EOI must be submitted in written form by March 22, 2024, at 3:00 PM Bhutan Standard Time, and will be opened on the same day at 3:30 PM. For email submissions, all documents must be in PDF format.

The EOI Documents, including instructions to bidders, evaluation/shortlisting criteria, bidding forms, and terms of reference, will be available for download from the DGPC website from February 20, 2024, to March 21, 2024.
