Early completion planned for Neelum-Jhelum

Construction on the project, which is expected to cost $2.16B, began back in 2008, and was expected to be complete in 2016. The schedule is now being brought forward to October 2015, with modern equipment and new tunnel boring machines being brought in to help fast-track the work.

The project is being completed with assistance from Chinese Company CGGC and the CMEC consortium, local media claim.
