“We are pleased to already be working with Emerson at our Volzhskaya, Saratovskaya and Votkinskaya plants,” said Rahmetulla Alzhanov, chief engineer and deputy chairman of RusHydro’s management board. “And we expect that further work with this automation company will help us upgrade our generating capacities and improve process safety, reliability and operating efficiency."

“We appreciate the opportunity to cooperate with RusHydro on such important projects – especially on power plants using renewable energy sources such as hydropower and wind,” added Bob Sharp, president of Emerson Process Management Europe. “These plants are an excellent application of our solutions to provide effective control over critical power generation processes and also minimize costs."

Emerson offers a broad range of automation technologies designed to improve power plant performance, including its PlantWeb digital plant architecture with the Ovation expert control system and AMS Suite asset management software.
