Extra money for UK flood and coastal defence

18 February 2003

This is over and above the UK£185M (US$294.5M) increase in government spending on flood and coastal defence over the period 2003-04 to 2005-06 announced in the Government's spending review of July 2002.

The increase follows a detailed assessment of the Departmental funds available in the coming financial review.
