BayCorp Holding will assume liability for the Clyde river dams in exchange for repairs from Citizens, which has been trying to sell its electric utility holdings for years. The dams are considered the last of those properties.
The biggest of these dams on the Clyde river can generate about 3.4MW. Citizens has agreed to repair the dam and add a new trap and truck operation to take salmon and other fish from below the dam to the reservoir and the upper section of the Clyde.
