Furnas in talks for hydro plants

The plants are worth US$755M and are located in the central Brazilian states of Mato Grosso and Tocantins.

The most advanced talks have concerned the 120MW plant in Guapore, Mato Grosso, Furnas and Grupo Rede are expected to sign a letter of intent on the 64% stake sale for approximately US$102M soon.

Furnas is still in the initial stages of talks for the purchase of Grupo Rede’s stake in the plant located in Lajeado, Tocantins, where Grupo Redes’s 44.89% stake is valued at US$277.7M.
