Alstom is to modernize three 60MW hydro generators at the Fionnay power plant in Switzerland as part of a EUR 7 million ($9.5 million) contract awarded by Forces Motrices de Mauvoisin SA.

Under the terms of the deal, Alstom will supply three new stators including poles, brushless exciters, voltage stabilizers as well as the relevant revision services.

The project is to be delivered and completed in three phases over 2015-2017.

Located in the Val de Bagnes, Valais-Alps, Fionnay power plant has been in operation since 1958 and uses the waters of the Mauvoisin storage lake together with the Riddes power plant.
