Geotechnical explorations at Hyrum Dam

Hyrum Dam and Reservoir is located on the Little Bear River near the southwest corner of Hyrum City approximately 10 miles from Logan, Utah. Built between 1934 and 1935, the dam is a compacted earth and rockfill structure with a structural height of 116ft, a crest width of 35ft, a crest length of 540ft at elevation of 4680ft. The reservoir has a surface area of 480 acres and a total capacity of 18,685 acre-ft.
