23 January 2012

Not many details are available yet but Ecuador's ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy revealed that the project, Minas San Franc, is to have an installed capacity of 275MW and is expected to cost US$477M.

This is not Harbin's first venture in Ecuador. At the end of December last year, the company signed a contract to start a thermal power project in Ecuador which is designed to contain 12x8MW diesel engines to give a total installed capacity of 96MW.
