Hidroelectrica to sell further hydro assets

14 April 2016

Romanian power firm Hidroelectrica is offering a further 20 hydropower projects for sale by public auction, following an auction last year that saw 32 plants put up for bidding.

The plants, which have been grouped into 14 corporate stocks of assets and represent around 17MW, will be transferred either to the private sector or to local communities in Romania.

In November, 26MW of capacity was offered with the 32 plants put up for sale.

Details of the new auction process can be found here.
