IHA members re-elected to governing board of World Water Council

18 November 2015

Representatives of IHA corporate members EDF and K-Water have been re-elected to the World Water Council Board of Governors. The newly elected representatives, Ursat Xavier from EDF and K-Water's Choi Gweyoon, will serve on the board for three years.

IHA says that this will help to maintain hydropower's voice in the World Water Council - an important body representing water issues at a global level.

The role of the Board of Governors is to oversee the implementation of decisions of the General Assembly and all matters related to governance, general management, programme of activities, budgeting, accountancy and membership of the World Water Council.
