Impregilo to build El Quimbo, Colombia

Located in the Department of Huila on the Magdalena River, the El Quimbo project will feature a 150m high, 635m long main dam, and a 66m high, 410m long secondary dam. The project will take about four years to build.

The Italian company is currently building the Sogamoso hydroelectric scheme in northwestern Columbia in a EUR 400M contract.
