11 December 2006

Together, the plants will have a combined output of 340.8MW, generated by Simplicio's three 104MW Francis units and Anta's two 14.4MW Kaplan turbines.

IMPSA's scope of supply comprises: design, manufacturing, transportation, installation, assembly, assembly supervision, commissioning and personnel training, under a water-to-wire turnkey scheme.

The five turbines and generators will be designed and manufactured at IMPSA's industrial facilities in Mendoza, Argentina, with the remaining equipment and services to be provided by Inverall, the company's Brazilian subsidiary.

The project will be executed in a 38-month delivery term, with the first unit due to start commercial operation in 32 months.
