India sees JV deal for national power exchange

The JV deal has been signed by National Thermal Power Corp (NTPC), National Hydroelectric Power Corp (NHPC), Power Finance Corp and Tata Consultancy Services.

The partners plan for the exchange to be a 'neutral and transparent electronic platform for trading power on a Day Ahead Basis'.

Under the agreement, the JV partners are to hold and operate the exchange as a public limited company with an authorised capital of US$11.7M.
