• INDIA’S WEST BENGAL State Electricity Board is to take up implementation of the 36MW Ramman stage-1 hydroelectric power project in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal. Pre-qualification bids were invited from independent power producers for implementing the project on a build, own, operate and maintain basis.

• L.K. POWER CORPORATION of Karnataka, is implementing the 2.2MW Maddur mini hydro project in the Mandya district of Karnataka. The scheme sees installation of two units of 1.1MW each will utilise canal water for producing power. The company will install two synchronous generator, Kaplan turbine, gear box and 11kv transformer.
