Indian JV to develop new hydro in Orissa

The companies are expected to create a JV led by NHPC with 51% to develop a number of multi-purpose projects with capacities above 25MW. According to reports in Business Standard, the projects to be developed include the Sindol-I, Middle Kolba, Lower Vansadhara, Balijori, Salki and Baramul hydro projects.

Pre-feasibility studies for the projects have already been completed.
