Innergex completes Walden North acquisition

1 March 2016

Innergex Renewable Energy Inc, in partnership with the Cayoose Creek Indian Band, has acquired the 16MW Walden North hydroelectric facility in the Canadian province of British Columbia from FortisBC for $9.2 million.

Innergex and Cayoose Creek Development Corporation, the economic arm of the Cayoose Creek Indian Band, formed the Cayoose Creek Limited Partnership to complete the previously announced acquisition.

Walden North was commissioned in 1992 and is located on private land in Cayoosh Creek near Lillooet, in close proximity to several of the Corporation's other hydroelectric facilities.
