Innergex hydro changes approved

31 March 2014

Innergex Renewable Energy Inc has reached an agreement with BC Hydro to increase capacity at two hydro projects which form part of the Upper Lillooet Hydro Project in British Columbia, and has also cancelled plans for a further development in the scheme.

The Upper Lillooet hydro project is comprised of the Upper Lillooet River, Boulder Creek and North Creek run-on-river hydroelectric projects. Under the terms of the new agreements, the higher installed capacity of the Upper Lillooet River project is confirmed at 81.4MW, while Boulder Creek is confirmed at 25.3MW. Innergex has also confirmed that the 16MW North Creek hydroelectric project has been cancelled.

Innergex had requested BC Hydro's consent to these changes in early 2013.
