Kossler’s H1-’07 orders over US$44M

In October, Kossler in a joint venture with Germany's Lloyd Dynamowerke was awarded a contract to supply two replacement Kaplan turbines and generators for the Lernbo plant in Sweden. The turbines and generators are being replaced as part of a refurbishment project budgeted at US$13M.

Voith Siemens Hydro Power generation plans to acquire Austria-based Kossler GmbH Maschinenfabrik as part of its global expansion into small hydro.

Following the completion of the proposed acquisition, which is subject to regulatory approval, Voith Siemens plans to keep Kossler as a subsidiary within its small hydro division – Voith Siemens Hydro Power Generation GmbH & Co KG St Polten.

Kossler engineers, manufacturers and executes small hydro plants and in the last financial year revenues were approximately Euro17M (US$25M). Earlier this year, Kossler set up a subsidiary in Trebisov, Solvakia, to supply semi-finished products to the main site at St. Georgen, Austria.
