Local construction force helping keep Manolo Fortich project on track

AboitizPower subsidiary Hedcor has announced that hundreds of locals have been involved in the construction of the Manolo Fortich hydropower project in Bukidon, the Philippines, helping to keep the 68.8MW project on track for completion at the end of 2016.

During the peak of the construction, 500 locals will be involved in the scheme, Hedcor vice president Boy Jabonillo has said, with the project having an 18-month construction schedule.

So far, 30km of access roads are nearing completion with excavation and clearing works ongoing.
