Maccaferri to build Serbian hydro plants in 2013

The plants are to be built along the Ibar River in a US$455.35M project. Maccaferri subsidiary, Seci Energia, signed an agreement with Serbia’s Elektroprivreda Srbije for the development of the plants, along the border between Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, in early 2011.

Once complete, a proportion of the power produced by the new schemes is to expected to be exported to Italy.
