Mecon wins Indian plant order

Ranchi-based consultancy Mecon has been employed by the Bihar State Hydroelectric Power Corporation for turnkey execution of a small hydro plant at Tejpura in Aurangabad, India. The plant, which will have two 7.5MW units, is part of the state government's plan to build a series of small hydro stations on the Sone river to increase the stability of the local grid. Completion of the project anticipated in two years.
