Funding for the projects is reported to be readily available and after construction plans are afoot to connect the West Nile region to the national power grid, according to government sources.

Although inauguration of Nyagak I marked the onset of 24-hour electricity supplies for local people, there still is a demand for more power in the region. Estimates suggest the West Nile could consume as much as 50MW.
