New hydropower engineering colleges planned for India

The website reported that Irrigation and Public Health Minister Mr Ravinder Singh Ravi announced the twin colleges – to be located in the Shimla and Bilaspur districts – would be set up with the help of NHPC, SJVNL and NTPC.

The new colleges are needed to meet the requirements for engineers on new hydropower projects planned in the state.
