NorthWestern Energy in PPA with Turnbull Hydro

11 November 2009

In addition to a competitive price, under the 20-year power purchase agreement, NorthWestern Energy will receive all of the renewable energy credits associated with the project.

The agreement is the culmination of a competitive Request for Proposal to identify cost effective electric energy supply agreements that meet Montana’s Renewable Portfolio Standard requirements.

The hydro project is expected to start generating electricity in 2011, and will operate throughout the irrigation season.
