Reports say that Pabbar Valley Power, a subsidiary of the Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board (HPSEB), could exploit 226MW from the total 332MW potential of the basin.

Singh spoke in Hatkoti, Shumla district, at a public meeting after the laying of the foundation stone of the 110MW Sawra-Kuddu hydroelectric plant, a project that is estimated to cost US$1.5M.

The state government is also considering allocating the 46MW Chirgaon-Majhgon and the 70MW Dhamwari-Sunda hydroelectric power projects to HPSEB.
