Pakistan submits Baglihar report to WB

13 February 2006

Pakistan considers India’s Baglihar project to show a disregard for the Indus Waters treaty on the usage of the countries' shared waters, and the two nations have been in opposition about the dam's construction for years.

With the submission of the report to the neutral expert, Swiss national Professor Raymond Lafitte, the Baglihar issue now enters a crucial phase. India is reportedly set to make serious efforts to amicably settle the dispute.
