Peter Black new MD of Mott MacDonald’s power business

With nearly 40 years of experience, Black has been at Mott MacDonald since 1986. Most recently he was head of transmission and distribution, helping the business grow tenfold.

He has worked with some of largest electrical companies in the world. One of his key achievements was successfully launching the Mott MacDonald power business in the US. Since then Mott MacDonald has established specialist power offices in Boston, Denver and Houston and now employs over 80 people there.

In the UK Peter has been working closely with National Grid and was instrumental in Mott MacDonald winning roles in two of six alliances set up by National Grid to help it achieve its capital plan for OFGEM.
