Plutonic pushes development on 11 more BC run-of-river plants

2 April 2008

The 11 plants have a combined installed capacity of 305MW and are expected to generate an estimated 972GWh per year.

The firm said the plants have completed Stages 1 and 2 of the regulatory hurdles – the Water Licensing and Crown Land rights.

The company’s first hydropower scheme is under construction – the 196MW East Toba/Montrose Creek development, which has a budget of Can$660M (US$660M).

Plutonic describes the zone where the East Toba/Montrose Creek scheme and the 11 prospective sites are located as the “Green Corridor”, which comprises potentially 40 plants with up to 2GW of capacity.
