Power Machine completes equipment manufacture for Kygy project, Turkey

13 July 2015

Power Machines has announced it has manufactured and shipped the third - and last - 46.6MW hydrogenerator for the Kygy hydropower plant currently under construction in Turkey.

The Russian firm was contracted in December 2013 by Turkey's DSI to supply equipment on a turnkey basis, including the three hydroturbines complete with pre-turbine gates, three generators of similar capacity, all electromechanical equipment for the machine hall, and a switchgear.

The first unit was shipped in April this year. The project is scheduled for full completion in 2016.
