Power Machines to work on 3rd unit at Thak Ba plant, Vietnam

The contract to manufacture and deliver a new generator stator system for the plant was awarded to the Russian company by the main contractor, local firm Lilama 10 Joint Stock Co.

The value of the contract is more than US$2.5M.

Power Machines is to deliver the system, designed for a 42MW generator, in the second quarter of next year. The erection activities are to be completed approximately a year later, it said.

The Thak-Ba plant was brought into operation in 1976 and has three units. Refurbishment of the first and second generating units was also achieved with equipment supplied by Power Machines over 2003-4 and 2004-6, respectively.
