30 July 2014

Pöyry is to study the feasibility of four new hydroelectric plants in Turkey with a total capacity of around 735MW.

DC Hidro Enerji Üretim A.S awarded Pöyry the contract to carry out feasibility studies and final design services assignments for Doganli 1, Doganli 2, Doganli 3 and Çukurca dams and hydroelectric power plants.

The assignments include the execution of the feasibility studies, final design studies, tender specifications for civil structures (dam, power intake, power tunnel and penstocks, spillway, diversion structures with two tunnels and bottom outlet) and related hydro-mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment. The projects will be executed jointly, with local consortium partner Dolsar, up to the end of 2015.

The projects are located on the Zap River in the eastern part of Turkey, and are being developed by private investors in Turkey.
