Private partners sought for new hydro in the Philippines

Philippines National Oil Co-Renewables (PNOC-RC) is looking for partners from the private sector to jointly develop five new hydropower schemes in the Philippines.

According to local media, the five projects are the 44MW Nalatang project in Kabayan, Benguet, the 8.25MW Dulangan project in Baco, Oriental Mindoro, and the 20MW Pasil B, 16MW Pasil C and 24MW Saltan B in Kalinga.

PNOC-RC is planning to develop more than 300MW of new potential by 2018, and further small hydro developments are planned with private sector input.
