Rainpower to equip Norwegian small hydro schemes

3 December 2010

Rainpower’s delivery to Tussa will consist of four vertical Pelton turbines with penstock, main control valves and generators. The deliveries will be made to new plants at Standal, Viddal, Dalegjerdet and Draura. The plants at Standal and Viddal have a gross head of around 250m and will have an installation of around 5.5MVA. The plants at Dalegjerdet and Draura have a gross head of around 200m with installations of 3MVA.

All the plants will be in operation in the course of spring 2012. The combined annual production of these four small power plants will be nearly 50 GWh, or sufficient to supply electricity to about 2500 households.
