Rainpower to supply Hynna small hydro plant, Norway

8 November 2011

Hynna is a greenfield hydro project located in Tydal, south-east of Trondheim. The plant will be equipped with one horizontal 3MW Francis unit, and one vertical 1.5MW Pelton unit. The supply includes inlet pipe (bifurcation), inlet valves, turbines, governors, generators, control and protection equipment, and switchgear. The project is expected to be complete by the end of the 2012.

This is the first project in an expected series of deliveries to Clemens Kraft KS, based on a frame agreement negotiated during 2008 and 2009. Hynna is the first project where Clemens Kraft was awarded a concession from NVE, however, it has more projects in the pipeline including another power station located close to Hynna.
