Report emphasises sustainable construction indicators

1 January 2002

THE UK'S CONSTRUCTION Industry Research and Information Association (CIRIA) has published a new report to address construction companies' need to innovate and modify their methods of working to improve their environmental performance.

Incorporating feedback from extensive consultation with the industry, the report, C563 Sustainable Construction Company Indicators, identifies a series of quantitative measures against which companies can measure the sustainability of their business.

The report has been endorsed by key stakeholders including the Construction Industry Board, Sustainable Construction Focus Group, Movement for Innovation, Sustainability Working Party, Construction Industry Council and the Environment Agency.
